Outlast®
The technology employed in Outlast® products is known as temperature regulating phase change materials (PCM) and was developed for NASA, in order to protect the astronauts from the fluctuations of temperature in space.
For the Parcours Outlast®, the coating is applied to the entire interior of the boot, in particular to the area where 70% of perspiration is generated (under the foot). This coating contains microcapsules that absorb excess heat, store it and return it when it is needed. The walker therefore neither becomes too hot or too cold and this comfortable temperature is maintained in many different environments and at varying levels of activity.
Even after many hours of walking, the wearer will notice a reduction in perspiration levels and as a result, reduced heating or cooling of the skin, ensuring constant comfort during activity as well as during periods of rest.
